Community Living Fund Grant

The Arc of Snohomish County is pleased to announce that we are currently taking applications for the 2013 Community Living Fund. Some examples of items and services that can be granted are:

  • Fence repair to improve child safety
  • Wheelchair ramp/home modification
  • Rent Deposit
  • Basic home furnishings

The goal of this funding is to provide items that are outside the scope of the financial abilities of the individual or family. In addition, the requested items must be directly related to promoting and maintaining independence in the community.

Funding requests may not exceed the amount of $1,000.

In order to be eligible for this funding, Individuals requesting grant funds must be able to provide documentation to verify the following criteria:

• Diagnosis of a developmental disability

• Currently living in a community setting or planning to live in a community setting

• Have a Financial Need (copy of Medicaid, Waiver, SSI funding or Personal Tax Return)

• Invoice or price quote for the exact amount of the item requested. If funding is awarded, checks will not be issued to individual applicants; funds will be issued directly to the manufacturer/store/landlord etc. for the requested items.

Applications without requested documentation will not be considered for funding.

Application Deadlines are:

October 1st  2013

November 1st  2013

Applications will be reviewed by a committee and awardees will be notified (via email or phone) no later than:

October 15th  2013

November 15th  2013

Assistive Technology Grant

The Arc of Snohomish County will distribute funds to qualified individuals with developmental disabilities. The purpose of the individual grant funding is to provide communication/speech devices to individuals that do not have other means by which to purchase these devices and software necessary to utilize these devices. 

This grant program focuses on allowing the applicant to have a consistent way to communicate in all settings of their lives; not just in a limited setting within a speech therapy or school program.

Funding requests may not exceed the amount of $1,000.

Autism Spectrum Support Grant

A Financial Opportunity for individuals who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder

The Arc of Snohomish County will distribute funds to qualified individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. The purpose of the individual grant funding is to assist individuals and families impacted by the Autism Spectrum Disorder that do not have other means by which to purchase services, therapies, communication devices or other products that are currently accepted as being beneficial.

Funding requests may not exceed the amount of $1,000.

**In order to support as many individuals in Snohomish County as we can, Individuals can only receive funding from one of these grant opportunities (Community Living Fund, Assistive Technology, or Autism Spectrum Support Grant) once every two years
