- About the workshop: Do you have a child that marches to the beat of a different drummer? Is it challenging to find the right support for your needs and those of your child? We all know that as parents and caregivers of individuals with special needs, finding supportive communities can be hard. Joanie Calem uses songs, stories and conversation to help find successful strategies to support both us and the person in our care.
- About the instructor: Joanie Calem is a parent, teacher, songwriter and disability awareness advocate. Joanie leads concert-conversations*, sharing original songs as a starting point for discussions on how to build welcoming communities that allow room for the increasing “neurodiversity” in our world!
